Welcome to Metropolitan School! Our school was recently accredited by AdvancED which is an organization that inspects the quality assurance aspects of schools on a worldwide basis. This is no easy feat for a young school, so congratulations are in order for the entire staff at our school. Met fosters a positive learning environment for students and is a great place to work. This has propelled the school into being among the top schools in Egypt, in a very short time period. On this website, you will find information to help you navigate our programs and school culture. We will be looking to add to this website as the school grows.
“Learning how to learn, unlearn and relearn” is important in the learning process. We are preparing students for jobs that have not yet been created in the world. This means that along with content, the skill of learning how to learn is of paramount importance. With properly developed learning skills, our students will enter their adulthood equipped with the ability to engage with the world in a variety of ways, towards fulfilling their potential. To put it simply, they will be able to reason and think so they can be competent and creative problem solvers.
When looking at our mission, we see some distinguishing features from other schools. Being engaged thinkers as opposed to being only critical thinkers is a new paradigm for many. It implies that thinking can be done from several different perspectives in order to be creative problem solvers. Engaging in community service encourages our students to think altruistically in order to achieve a better world for all. In the pursuit of learning how to be creative entrepreneurs, our students may well be on their way to achieving unparalleled success.
My motto is to be “reasonable, realistic and pragmatic” in managing our wonderful school. In so doing, we are creating the best possible teaching and learning atmosphere for our students. I am very proud to have a caring staff who works assiduously, day in and day out, in order to provide excellence in education. We look forward to your applications to Met. Should you have the golden opportunity to work or study here, you surely will not be disappointed!
With kind regards,
