United in Diversity

In Metropolitan during October we were celebrating the”United in Diversity Month” which aims to bullying prevention and is linked to the Met pillar of Tolerance.Students explored the concepts of inclusion, courage, empathy, and diversity and ways to demonstrate these behaviors in our community.Learners have been working on group and personal projects such as comic strips, research on young activists and role playing in order to cultivate personal accountability regarding bullying prevention which is an ongoing goal in our school. Lower School students were happily joining our yearly Anti-bullying campaign at Metropolitan school. They had the chance to show their learnings through various activities. KG1 created the Gentle Hand craft, KG2 did the Steps To Prevent Bullying, Grade 1 worked on the Unity Trees that explain what is tolerance, and Grade 2 created the Anti-bullying Signs. All students were encouraged to participate to show their support for their school’s value of the month which is Tolerance. Metropolitan had a great day celebrating the campaign by distributing the United In Diversity bracelets to memorize this inspiring event.
